Slipped again
Ok yesterday I did eat with mindfulness. There were a couple choices not so great. It is hard for me to remove the guilt of chips. I have decided though to remove wine at least until the Death Race. I was doing so well and it's creeping back on.

Day 2
I had a banana for breakfast, then a small coffee with cream. At lunch I was a 4 and had a chicken and rice bowl that was supposed to be spicy but was not! At 5:30 I was starving! I ate a very old granola bar from the glove box.
Then I ate last nights left over popcorn and made an egg muffin and opened a bottle of wine...

Day 1 - Starting to Listen
7:45am In the shower my stomach is telling me it's empty. I am not starving but will need food soon. I have not eaten for 12 hours. I would say a 4 on the hunger scale.
At work I am drinking green tea while doing paperwork.
11:12 at my desk again a 4. So I had a snack while looking out my office window and not multitasking.
1cup of pineapple.
12:50pm again about a 4 as I waited to feel hungry. Had a can of tuna with veg Mao cucumbers and hummus. Comfortably at 7.
3:44pm at a 4 going to a 3 having 1/4 cup of soy nuts.
6:00pm at a 4 over ate a bit likely an 8 . Had 2 little smokies stuffed mushroom and a few noodles.
Shopped for new bikes tonight then a test run for the girls.
9:30pm snacked on yogurt popcorn and a cheese string. I was full after.
Getting to know my body by listening.
I have tried every diet I am sure. The last couple of months I have been trying to get to know my body in a different way, by heartrate. I wear my Fitbit Charge to bed and I have noted my resting heartrate every night while sleeping. I have a few observations that surprised me. Processed food and alcohol keep my heartrate 10 beats or higher at night than a clean diet.
This is after a couple weeks of clean eating - no wine
Then this is after a night out with the girls. My body and heart never rested.
I am finding these insights amazing. I am also aware that some foods make me bloated and some feed my carb addiction.
I am going to get to know this body better and use this space to record and journal findings and emotions.
I will be using this book to help me get to know my body and hunger better.
This will be interesting and not about diet but about body and head space.
